Tracking jobs
Job posting links
Every job in Trackur can store a link to the original job posting, so the listing is always one click away when you're preparing for a screening call or writing a follow-up.
Adding a link
You can set the link in two places:
- When adding a job — the Add Job panel has a Job Posting URL field (placeholder "https://..."). Paste or type the address and it saves with the job.
- On an existing job — open the Edit panel and fill in the Posting URL field. Like every field in the Edit panel, it saves as soon as you click away — see Editing jobs.
You don't need to type the full address. If you enter a bare domain like example.com/job/123, Trackur automatically adds the prefix and saves it as https://example.com/job/123. Addresses that already start with http:// or https:// are left untouched.
Where the link appears
Once a job has a posting URL, it shows up in two places:
- On the board card — a Job posting link with an external-link icon appears near the bottom of the card. Clicking it opens the posting in a new tab.
- In the Edit panel — an Open link appears beside the Posting URL label, which also opens the posting in a new tab.
Limits and non-link values
- Posting URLs can be up to 500 characters.
- Only addresses that start with
http://orhttps://become clickable links. Because Trackur adds thehttps://prefix to anything you type in the field, values without it mostly arrive via CSV import — an imported cell containing a note like "see email" is stored and shown in the field, but no Job posting or Open link renders for it.
Links open in a new tab
Both the card link and the Edit panel's Open link open the posting in a new browser tab, so you never lose your place in Trackur.
