Creating your account

Trackur uses social sign-in only — you sign in with an existing Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn account, and there is no password to create or remember. Your first sign-in creates your Trackur account automatically.

Signing in

When you're not signed in, my.trackur.app shows a login screen headed "Sign in to Trackur" with three buttons:

• Continue with Google
• Continue with GitHub
• Continue with LinkedIn

There is no separate sign-up page. Click whichever provider you prefer — the first time you do, your account is created; every time after that, the same button signs you back in. You're briefly redirected to the provider's consent screen and then returned to Trackur. If sign-in fails, the provider's error message appears in red below the buttons.

Below the buttons, a note reads "By proceeding, you agree to the terms of service and privacy policy." with links to both documents.

First-run account setup

Right after your first sign-in, a "Complete your account" screen appears with a "Step 1 of 2" indicator and a progress bar. This setup runs once per account and never reappears after you complete it. You can't skip it to reach the app.

Step 1 — required details

• First Name and Last Name — first name up to 40 characters, last name up to 80 (a "Max 40 characters." / "Max 80 characters." warning appears if you hit the limit).
• Country — a dropdown starting at "Select your country".
• A required checkbox: I agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

Click Next to continue. Anything missing gets an inline message: "First name is required", "Last name is required", "Please select your country", or "You must agree to continue".

Step 2 — optional questions

Step 2 asks about your job hunt, and both questions are optional:

• "Which industries are you job hunting in?" — a multi-select, labeled "Optional — select all that apply".
• "Which job titles are you targeting?" — a tag input, labeled "Optional — type a title and press Enter" (for example, "Software Engineer").

Click Complete Setup to finish (the button reads Completing... while it saves), or Back to revisit step 1. Leaving both questions empty and clicking Complete Setup works fine.

Your email address

Your email comes from your sign-in provider and cannot be changed in Trackur. It appears read-only in the Settings panel. Your name, on the other hand, can be edited any time — see Account & settings.

Signing out

Open the user menu — the Hello {your first name} button at the top right on desktop, or the gear icon on mobile (see Trackur on mobile) — and choose Sign out. You're signed out immediately, with no confirmation dialog, and returned to the login screen. Signing back in with the same provider brings you straight back to your jobs.
